Day 1

Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be received by our representative with your names as a welcome note. Get to your vehicle and head to hotel in Kigali. Depending on your arrival time and departure time on the last day, we may have a city tour on day 1 including the genocide memorial and birding activities at the famous Nyandungu Eco park. The park is famous for bird species like Papyrus Gonolek and Papyrus Yellow Warber, Regal Sunbird, Lesser Jacana and many more. Cycling around the park is one other common acitivity liked by most visitors to Kigali.

Day 2

Travel to Nyungwe forest National Park

Travel to Nyungwe forest National Park

We set off from our hotel in Kigali and head south west of the country to Nyungwe forest National Park. We shall have a stopover at the famous King's Palace in Nyanza, the palace potrays the former rich heritage of Kingdoms in Rwanda with a reprica of the former kings palace of Rwanda. You will be taken around the palace, meet the king, queen, and servants displaying the would be normal activities in the palace.
Lunch in Nyanza and confinue to Nyungwe for an afternoon hike and Canopy walk followed by a community visit around the forest.

Day 3

Chimpanzee tracking

We have our early breakfast and head for our chimpanzee trek deep down in the forest. We shall be allocated a group to follow and search from the habituated families of Chimpanzees.
Nungwe has a chimpanzee group normally found from around the Uwinka visitor's section and Cyamudongo. Our rangers will lead us through the slopes and shrubs of the dense forest as we follow the light weight primates of Nyungwe. Depending on where they last fed from the previous night, we may be blessed for a serious and tough trek or not. You are advised to have some great physical strength during any trek. Other primates may be spoted along like the common L'hoest monkeys, vervets, grey cheeked mangabeys and many more.

Day 4

Travel to the Volcanoes National Park

Travel to the Volcanoes National Park

We set off south west of the country from Nyungwe National Park driving to the Northwest of the country in the Volcanoes National Park for a 5hrs journey. We have exciting views of the rolling hills or Rwanda commonly referred to as the Land of A Thousand Hills, meet the communitys along the drive, children waving to you and finally through the western provincial town of Ruhengeri leading us to the Volcanoes park.
Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, relax as you wait for the Gorilla trek the next morning. We can however have a 5pm drive to the Iby'iwacu community center where we find the local people showcasing the traditional marriages in Rwanda and Kingdom.
Return to your lodge later on at 7pm.

Day 5

Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla Tracking

The moment we have all been waiting for is here. Gorilla tracking in the Volcanoes National Park of Rwanda. We wake up to a great breakfast from our lodge, grab our packed lunch and head for the morning Gorilla briefing center in Kinigi.
Set off at 8am for the adventure, the trek can take a whole day or hrs into the jungle. The volcanoes park is characterized by lush rainforests with bamboo forests, offering a habitat for diverse wildlife, including the endangered mountain gorillas. It's also known for its volcanic peaks, including Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo. We shall spend atleast 1hr with the gentle giants when we find them. Lunch in the forest, graduation ceremony and later on drive back to our lodge.

Day 6

Golden Monkeys & Kigali Airport

Golden Monkeys & Kigali Airport

On our last day, we have the Golden Monkey tracking in the Volcanoes Park. The Golden monkeys are primates specie of the Blue monkeys commonly found aroung the Virunga mountains. These monkeys are commonly leave in a group of 20 to 30 individuals and are mostly viewed around the potatoe plantations and bamboo shrubs around the Volcanoes area.
Return by 11am, check out of the park and head to Kigali for lunch and drop off at the Airport for your onward journey home.
