Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Arusha by your private guide, followed by a scenic drive toward the Ndutu region, situated in the southern Serengeti ecosystem within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you'll stop at Loduare Gate to register and check in for park entry before continuing through a landscape that transitions from bustling towns to open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and traditional Maasai villages.
As you enter the Ndutu area, enjoy a game drive en route, with excellent chances to spot large herds of wildlife and a variety of predators that thrive in this region. You’ll arrive at Ndutu Heritage Camp in time for a hot lunch or, depending on your arrival, head out for a late afternoon game drive before settling in for the evening.

Day 2
Ndutu to Karatu

After breakfast, set out on a morning game drive in the Ndutu area to witness the vibrant early wildlife activity, as predators and herbivores are most active at this time. Traverse the region’s diverse terrain, which includes open plains, acacia woodlands, and seasonal soda lakes especially abundant with wildlife during the calving season when thousands of young wildebeest attract numerous predators.
After the game drive, begin your journey out of the Ndutu area, passing once again through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and exiting via Loduare Gate. From there, continue to the fertile highlands of Karatu, a charming town nestled along the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you'll arrive in the afternoon to relax and unwind.

Day 3

After an early breakfast and check-out from the lodge, you'll head toward the Ngorongoro Crater and descend 600 meters into this breathtaking natural wonder the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera for a half-day game drive. Renowned for its remarkable concentration of wildlife, the crater offers the chance to see black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and more, all within a remarkably compact and scenic setting.
Midday, you'll stop for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, enjoying a meal surrounded by the crater’s stunning landscapes. Following the game drive, ascend back to the rim and begin the journey back to Arusha, where you'll arrive in the late afternoon or early evening for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari adventure.
