Day 1

After a short morning briefing, your safari will set off towards Tarangire National Park. With its savannah, seasonal swamps, and the life-giving Tarangire River, the park is home to vast elephant herds, often numbering in the hundreds. Animals gather at the river throughout the year, and alongside elephants, you may see mongoose, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs and reedbucks. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park in the late afternoon and head to your camp for the overnight stay.

Day 2
Mto wa Mbu to Ngorongoro Crater
Mto wa Mbu to Ngorongoro Crater
You will have breakfast at dawn before the 4x4 safari vehicle takes you to the crater rim, from where you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater on an adventurous and steep trail. Down in the crater, you will have the opportunity to see the full range of animals found in the East African savannah, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard). The Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the best places to observe the magnificent yet critically endangered black rhino. After an extensive game drive, you will exit the crater in the late afternoon and drive to your camp for an overnight stay.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park
Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park
Pick-up is at 8:30am from your camp at Ngorongoro before departing for Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. As you enter the park, lush forests of acacia and mahogany trees set the tone for the adventure ahead. The game drive continues until evening, with a short break for your picnic lunch. During the drive, look out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and blue monkeys. Another highlight of Lake Manyara National Park is the famous tree-climbing lions, although spotting them is a matter of luck. In the right season, the shoreline of Lake Manyara turns pink with millions of flamingos gathering there. After the game drive, you will return to your camp or lodge, where a delicious dinner will be waiting for you.
