Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. After breakfast, you’ll set off on a scenic drive towards Mkomazi National Park, located in the shadow of the Usambara and Pare Mountains. On arrival, enjoy game drives across the park’s vast grasslands, which are home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and an impressive array of antelope species.
A highlight of the day is your visit to the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary, where dedicated conservation efforts protect the endangered black rhino. Here, you’ll learn about the sanctuary’s work while having the rare chance to see these magnificent animals up close. In the evening, head to Elephant Motel in the nearby town of Same for dinner and an overnight stay.
