1-Day Kilimanjaro – Mandara Hut

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from Moshi, followed by a scenic drive to Marangu Gate (1,860 m), the starting point of the Marangu Route. After completing registration formalities, your hike begins, taking you through the enchanting rainforest zone, where the air is fresh, and the path is shaded by towering trees draped in moss. Keep an eye out for playful blue monkeys, colorful bird species, and the occasional colobus monkey swinging through the branches.

The trek to Mandara Hut (2,700 m) takes about 3–4 hours at a relaxed pace, allowing you to enjoy the changing scenery. On arrival, you can explore the nearby Maundi Crater for panoramic views of Kenya’s Amboseli National Park on a clear day. A picnic lunch will be provided before you begin your descent back through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. From here, you’ll be driven back to Moshi, arriving by evening with a sense of achievement and beautiful memories of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
