Day 1

Arusha – Mto wa Mbu – Lake Manyara National Park

Arusha – Mto wa Mbu – Lake Manyara National Park

Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from Arusha, followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. En route, stop at Mto wa Mbu village, a culturally rich community home to over 120 different tribes. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided village tour, visit a banana farm, and learn how local farmers cultivate this staple crop. The visit includes a traditional Tanzanian lunch prepared by a local family, offering an authentic taste of rural life.

In the afternoon, continue to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive through its diverse habitats — from groundwater forests and open savannahs to the lakeshore teeming with flamingos and other waterbirds. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, and, if lucky, the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. As the day ends, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
