1-Day Hiking Mt Kilimanjaro via Mararangu Route

The Kilimanjaro day hike via the Marangu Route begins with a morning transfer from your hotel to Marangu Gate, the official entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. After registration, you'll start your hike through the lush rainforest, enjoying sightings of wildlife such as colobus monkeys and a variety of birds. The trail ascends gradually, and after about 3–4 hours of trekking, you'll reach Mandara Hut (2,700m), where you'll take a break, enjoy your packed lunch, and have the option to explore the nearby Maundi Crater for panoramic views (weather permitting). After resting, you'll descend back through the forest to the gate, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel completing a rewarding and scenic day on Africa’s tallest mountain.
