Day 1

Arrival in Rwanda

We welcome you to Rwanda via Kigali international Airport. Our driver will be at the Airport waiting for you with your name displayed at the arrival terminal. We shall get to our vehicle and proceed to our hotel in Kigali. Depending on our arrival time, we can have an evening city tour including the Genocide memorial and the Nyandungu Eco park for bird watching and or cycling. Get to our hotel early enough and prepare for the second day heading to the Akagera Wildlife Park.

Day 2

Travel to Akagera National Park

Travel to Akagera National Park

After our breakfast, we set off for Akagera National Park North East of the country. Arrive in time for a game drive before cheecking in at our hotel. Bless your self for a great ame viewing of the buffaloes, hyenas, eleohants, leopards, hippos, lions, giraffes, and many bird's species like the fish eagles scouting around the lake. Get to our hotel for a check in and lunch. Relaxation by the pool. We may have an evening game drive or continue with the relaxation as per your wish.

Day 3

Game drive & boat ride on Lake Ihema

Game drive & boat ride on Lake Ihema

We have a fully packed day. Set off from our hotel for the morning game drive to see the same wildlife spotted on day 1 but yet with more time viewing. Lions, elephants, hyenas, lions, giraffes, zebras, warthogs and great views of the willdlife park overlooking Tanzania. We return for lunch and get back for the evening boat ride on Lake ihema. Lots of birds expected like the fish eagles, malachite kingfishers and many more.

Day 4

Travel to Nyungwe National Park

Travel to Nyungwe National Park

On this day, we set off quite early for Nyungwe National Park. Great views of Rwanda with the rolling hills as we descend into Nyanza provice for a cultural visit of the Kings Palace. The palace is a replica of the original Rwanda King and his palace. You will meet the subjects of the kings and shall walk you around the palace. Lunch in Nyanza and continue to Nyungwe National Park driving through the beautiful tea plantations touching the forest rim.

Day 5

Chimpanzee tracking & Canopy Walk

We have the Chimpanzees today morning and the Canopy Walk in the afternoon. Wake up quite early and head for the early chimpanzee trek in deep down in the forest. Nyungwe forest is known for its various primates like the chimpanzees, vervet monkeys, L'hoest, blue monkeys and many more. Lunch at the hotel and have an afternoon hike and walk in the forest walong the Canopy giving you great misty views of Nyungwe.

Day 6

Drive to Valcanoes National Park

Drive to Valcanoes National Park

We set off for the Volcanoes park located North west of the country. The journey once again takes us through the rollingg hills of Rwanda with yet another chance of great views of the country. Meet many smiling faces of both adults and school going children. Kindly carry some school material to give out asd we drive along. You can carry pens, pencils, sweets and or may be some candys.
Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and have a great evening relaxation. We go for an evening community visit at the Iby'iwacu cultural center.

Day 7

Gorilla tracking

We have the Mountain Gorilla tracking day today. Wake up for a great breakfast at your lodge and head for the morning Gorilla briefing. Head for the adventure everyone has been waiting for. The volcanoes park has shown great Gorilla population improvement from a 1980's low record of 250 to a great new record of 604 Gorillas as per the official Tourism board of Rwanda.
It is a great experience with walking on flat terrain to hikes around the Volcanoes and through the thickets to find the Gentle giants. Spend atleast 1hr with the Gorillas, lunch and return to your driver heading back to your lodge.

Day 8

Golden Monkeys & Departure

Golden Monkeys & Departure

On our last day, we have the Golden Monkey tracking in the Volcanoes Park. The Golden monkeys are primates specie of the Blue monkeys commonly found aroung the Virunga mountains. These monkeys are commonly leave in a group of 20 to 30 individuals and are mostly viewed around the potatoe plantations and bamboo shrubs around the Volcanoes area.
Return by 11am, check out of the park and head to Kigali for lunch and drop off at the Airport for your onward journey home.
