Day 1

Kigali - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Kigali - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up for a city tour, visiting the local markets and the Rwandan Genocide Museum. Afterwards, you will head to the Uganda-Rwanda border and continue to Kabale for lunch before proceeding to Bwindi in preparation for your gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 2

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing and be assigned a guide and rangers. They will lead you and the other travelers (a small group of eight people) to the gorilla family you will be visiting. After the trek, you will visit the Batwa community.

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, you will have a game drive in the southern sector to look for tree-climbing lions. After lunch, you will continue to your accommodations in the Kasenyi Plains, where you will spend the night.

After your morning breakfast, you will head out for a game drive through the crater exploration area, filled with beautiful views, elephants, different tree species, and more. Afterwards, you will drive to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise, where you will get up close to various animals.

Go out in the morning for a game drive to look for lions, leopards, kobs, savannah elephants, hippos, warthogs, and more. As you drive through the park, you will also visit the salt lake to see how salt is extracted and stop by the some of the local craft shops.

Today you will drive to Kibale, the capital of the chimpanzees, passing through beautiful tea plantations and twin crater lakes, all of which offer great photo opportunities. Upon arrival, you'll check in at your guest house and go for a community walk around the crater lakes and tea plantations.
