You'll feel like you're on safari every minute of the day when you stay at Umkumbe Safari Lodge Riverside. Built of stone, wood and thatch, this fine lodge looks out over the Sand River in Sabi Sand Game Reserve, and you can very often see animals from the deck, lounge area, or even the swimming pool, without leaving the lodge. The lodge rooms here also face out towards the river, and are large and a lovely places to rest at the end of your safari day.

Enjoy morning & evening safari's, plus an optional bush walk for the ultimate adventure

Enjoy the beautiful light on an early morning game drive, out among the animals just when they’re most active and easy to see. After breakfast, one of the culinary highlights of your safari day, you can join a Guided Walk with one of the rangers to experience the bush on foot. Return to camp and unwind until lunch is served.

After Lunch rest/relax until your evening game drive. It's the perfect time of day for seeing wildlife, with beautiful light for taking photos and cooler temperatures.

After your evening game drive its dinner time in the boma around a campfire where you can generally take it easy to allow yourself to both process and recover from all of the excitement that you’ve enjoyed on your safari so far.
