Day 1

You will be met by our assigned driver-guide who, after introductions and a brief orientation, will drive you to the day’s destination Masai Mara National Reserve. Your journey takes you through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stopover at Narok town for refreshments. Along the way, enjoy splendid views of Kenya’s diverse landscapes and rich cultural tapestry.
As you approach the reserve, you’ll embark on your first game drive, passing herds of grazing impalas, towering giraffes, and other wildlife. Upon arrival at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, you'll receive a warm welcome. After settling in, enjoy a hearty lunch surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mara. Later in the afternoon, head out for an introductory game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. As the sun sets over the plains, you’ll make your way back to the lodge for a hot shower, a delicious dinner, and a relaxing evening by the fire. Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge.

You will have the option of enjoying both morning and afternoon game drives, with all meals provided at your lodge. Alternatively, you may choose to depart with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive, allowing you to explore deeper into the reserve without returning for lunch. After breakfast, set out across the open plains toward the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. This 1,510 square kilometre reserve is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations. It is home to the iconic Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—and you may also encounter wildebeest, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, giraffes, hippos, and the fearsome crocodiles of the Mara River. In the late afternoon, after an exciting day of exploration and wildlife sightings, return to the lodge for a hot shower, a delicious dinner, and an evening spent sharing stories under the African sky.

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is an alkaline lake and is known all over the world for its large flamingo population. Thousands of flamingos are in residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep-pink band around the edge of the lakeshore. You will arrive in time for check-in and enjoy a delicious lunch. After relaxation, you will proceed for a game drive at the park, where you will encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and buffalos. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll drive towards the days’ destination, Lake Naivasha. You will have a brief stopover at the Rift valley view point for photography and viewing proceeding to L. Naivasha to arrive in time for Lunch. L. Naivasha is a freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, giraffes, zebras and over 400 species of birds on the island including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos which are migratory. Spend the afternoon at leisure as you reconnect with nature. Optional afternoon boat rides on Lake Naivasha are offered at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Resort.

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of the majestic, snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants roaming the expansive grassy plains, and its striking landscape, which includes Lake Amboseli and vast wetlands fed by underground springs rich in sulphur. The park features five distinct habitats: open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps, and marshland, each offering unique wildlife viewing opportunities. You will arrive at the lodge in time to enjoy a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, you may choose to embark on a game drive to catch your first glimpse of the park’s incredible wildlife, or simply unwind at the lodge perhaps relaxing in the lounge or by the pool as you prepare for a full day of exploration tomorrow.
