Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha (ARK area) heading south to Tarangire, a park famed for its vast elephant population and ancient baobab trees. The drive takes approximately 2–3 hours through Maasai landscapes and rural villages.

Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park. Tarangire’s lifeline, the Tarangire River, attracts diverse wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and numerous bird species. The scattered baobab trees create dramatic scenery ideal for photography. In the late afternoon, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight near the park.

Day 2

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti via the scenic Ngorongoro highlands, enjoying spectacular views along the way. The journey takes about 5–6 hours, but wildlife sightings begin long before reaching the central Serengeti plains.

As you enter Serengeti National Park, the landscape opens into endless golden savannah dotted with acacia trees and rocky kopjes. Afternoon game drives reveal predators such as lions resting on kopjes, cheetahs scanning the plains, and hyenas roaming freely. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration. Dinner and overnight at your camp in the Serengeti.

Day 3

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Serengeti, the best time to witness predators in action as the sun rises over the plains. After brunch at camp, continue with a final en-route game drive as you head toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The drive takes you through changing landscapes from open savannah to cooler highlands. Optional visit to a Maasai village can be arranged to learn about local culture. By late afternoon, arrive at the crater rim where breathtaking panoramic views await. Dinner and overnight at a lodge on the Ngorongoro crater rim.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to one of Africa’s densest concentrations of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, and hippos. Lake Magadi often hosts flocks of flamingos, adding vibrant color to the landscape.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending in the early afternoon. Drive back to Arusha with drop-off at Arusha Airport or your lodge, marking the end of your majestic Tanzanian safari adventure..
