1-Day Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi from Kigali

• You'll be collected from the airport.

At 2:30 AM, your driver-guide picks you up from your hotel in Kigali. Begin a pre-dawn drive (4.5 – 5 hours) southwest toward the Gatuna or Cyanika border crossing into Uganda. Make sure your East African Tourist Visa or Uganda visa is ready in advance.

Arrive at Bwindi National Park Headquarters for briefing on gorilla behavior, conservation rules, and safety. Join your group (max 8 trekkers) and start the trek into the misty rainforest. Hike through thick vegetation, steep hills, and muddy trails - be ready for a physically demanding journey.

Once located, spend one incredible hour observing the gorilla family in their natural habitat. Watch silverbacks guard the group, mothers care for babies, and juveniles play in the vines.

Spend one hour with the gorillas and later hike back to the trailhead and start your journey back to Kigali arriving late evening. Enjoy scenic views of the Virunga Mountains, rural villages, and terraced hillsides along the way.
