Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after clearing immigration, you will be met by your driver-guide. After introductions and a travel briefing, begin your journey to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at Narok town for refreshments, enjoying beautiful landscapes and glimpses of local culture along the way. As you enter the reserve, enjoy your first game viewing en route to the lodge watch for giraffes, impalas, and other wildlife. Upon arrival at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, receive a warm welcome and settle in before enjoying a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, head out for an exciting introductory game drive in the Mara. You will have the option of morning and afternoon game drives with all meals provided at your lodge, or you may choose to depart with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. After breakfast, you’ll make your way across the plains to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Its vast rolling landscapes are home to countless plains game and the predators that follow them. Everything about this reserve is extraordinary. Spanning 1,510 square kilometres, it is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. You may also encounter wildebeest, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, various antelopes, giraffes, hippos, and the infamous crocodiles near the Mara River. After an early breakfast at your lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park, check out and depart for Aberdare National Park, a scenic 3–4 hour drive through Kenya’s stunning highlands, with rolling hills, tea farms, and rural villages along the way. Upon arrival at the park, proceed directly to The Ark Lodge, a unique tree lodge nestled in the forest and designed for exceptional wildlife viewing. After check-in and a hearty lunch at the lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive through the park’s misty forests and moorlands.
