After breakfast, you'll fly from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar, a beautiful city on the shores of Lake Tana, Ethiopia’s largest lake.
You'll enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Tana to explore some of its ancient island monasteries, such as Ura Kidane Mehret and Azwa Mariam, known for their colorful murals and ancient manuscripts.
In the afternoon, you'll drive to Blue Nile Falls (Tis Issat), about 35 km away. After a short hike, you will experience the mist and thunder of this spectacular waterfall, especially impressive during the wet season.
You'll return to Bahir Dar for dinner and relaxation by the lakeside.

You will explore the Debre Berhan Selassie Church, famed for its magnificent ceiling covered in angelic faces.
You'll see the Fasilides Bath, a ceremonial pool still used during the Timket (Epiphany) celebration.
Gondar blends imperial grandeur with spiritual richness and marks the gateway to the highlands.

You'll encounter troops of Gelada baboons, a grass-eating primate endemic to Ethiopia, often seen in large social groups.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a second morning trek or scenic drive deeper into the park — possibly visiting Chenek, known for its striking views and higher chances of seeing the Walia ibex, an endangered mountain goat found only in Ethiopia.
Capture dramatic landscapes, spot soaring birds like the lammergeier (bearded vulture), and experience the silence and vastness of the high plateau.
In the afternoon, you'll drive back to Gondar, where you’ll rest and prepare for the next leg of your journey.

After breakfast, you'll fly from Gondar to Lalibela, one of the world’s most remarkable religious sites. Dubbed the “New Jerusalem, Lalibela is home to a network of 12th-century rock-hewn churches, carved entirely from solid volcanic rock.
You will begin with the Northern Cluster, which includes:
Bete Medhane Alem – the largest rock-hewn church in the world.
Bete Maryam, Bete Golgotha, and Bete Mikael, with symbolic architecture and religious significance.
You'll walk through tunnels and passageways connecting the churches — many still used for active worship today.
Lalibela is more than a historical site; it is a living, breathing center of devotion.

You'll visit the Southern Cluster, with more elaborately carved churches like Bete Amanuel, Bete Abba Libanos, and Bete Gabriel-Rufael.
You will conclude your tour with the iconic Bete Giorgis (St. George’s Church), the most visually striking and well-preserved church, carved in the shape of a Greek cross.
After lunch, you will fly to Addis Ababa.
If you will depart late in the evening, you'll enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional music and dancing at a cultural restaurant such as Yod Abyssinia.
