It’s time to hike to the Sipi Falls. Nestled in the stunning Mount Elgon region, the falls comprise three captivating waterfalls of more than 70 meters, with the main waterfall (and definitely the most impressive one) and its thundering cascade plunging down a 100-metre cliff! The hike takes you through lush greenery, coffee plantations and picturesque landscapes offering panoramic views.

Compliment your waterfalls hike with a coffee-making tour. Spend a few hours with small-scale farmers near Mt. Elgon National Park. Through the coffee tour, you will learn how to dig, weed, and harvest organic coffee in an authentic farming environment. You will get involved and learn about the process from seedlings to cup. You can also take part in picking, pounding, roasting, grinding, and drinking coffee. The skills and knowledge needed by farmers will bring a new appreciation to your coffee drinking habits.

Explore the Karamojong Culture

Visit the Karamojongo community to learn more about their rich cultural heritage. There is chance you will spend some time on their homestead, where you will learn the social structures, traditional games and the day-to-day activities like harvesting, dancing, cooking staple foods, beadwork, archery and traditional friendly wrestling.

You will get a taste of traditional pastoral life of the karimojongo later in the night in the kraal with the animals and the shephards. You will assist the nomads in bringing the cows to the kraal and sharing stories around the campfire in the bush.
