The park is rich with wildlife—impalas, buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles—and world-famous for its Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, 250,000 zebras, and 500,000 antelopes move with the rains. Alongside these vast herds, predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards may also be spotted. Northern Serengeti National Park

This day is fully dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti, a wildlife paradise known for its incredible diversity. You’ll encounter species such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos, alongside the park’s most iconic spectacle—the great migration of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes. Guided by seasonal rains, this natural phenomenon changes yearly. From November to December, massive herds journey south from the northern woodlands and hills to the endless grassy plains, while between April and June, during the long rains, they travel back north. Beyond the migration, the Serengeti offers year-round sightings of resident predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, making every game drive an unforgettable adventure.

Ngorongoro Crater back to Arusha

After a hearty breakfast, early risers are rewarded with the stunning sight of the sun rising above the crater’s rim before setting off toward the Ngorongoro Crater. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Africa, this natural marvel was formed around three million years ago. Measuring 610 meters deep and spanning about 260 square kilometers, it shelters nearly 25,000 animals, making it one of the finest wildlife viewing destinations in Tanzania. The crater floor teems with wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species. With some luck, you may also encounter the rare black rhino grazing peacefully. Following a rewarding game drive and picnic lunch in this remarkable setting, you will ascend the crater walls and return to Arusha in the afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
