Day 1

You will be picked up from Moshi at your Hotel and driven to the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro, Marangu Gate. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Moshi to Marangu Gate (1,860m), where registration and safety briefing take place. If you’ve forgotten any essentials, there are shops near the gate where trekking gear can be rented. After meeting your guides and porters, the trek starts with a gradual hike through lush rainforest alive with birds, monkeys, and towering trees. The 4–5 hour walk (approx. 8 km) leads to Mandara Hut (2,700m), your first overnight stop. In the evening, enjoy a hot meal and rest in shared mountain huts, ready for the climb ahead.

Day 2

After breakfast, the trail continues through rainforest before transitioning into heath and moorland vegetation. You’ll pass through open landscapes with giant heathers and occasional views of Mawenzi Peak. The trek covers about 12 km and takes 6–8 hours. Horombo Hut (3,720m) awaits, offering panoramic views of both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Shared huts, hearty meals, and an evening of rest prepare you for higher altitudes.

Day 3

Today you ascend through the alpine desert, a stark yet striking landscape of sparse vegetation. The trek (approx. 10 km, 6–7 hours) crosses the wide, barren saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Arriving at Kibo Hut (4,700m), you’ll have an early dinner and head to bed early in preparation for the midnight summit attempt. The night is short but crucial for conserving energy.

Day 4

Summit day begins around midnight with hot tea and snacks before setting out under the stars. The climb is steep and challenging, with switchbacks leading to Gilman’s Point (5,685m) on the crater rim. From there, continue past Stella Point to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. Celebrate with photos and breathtaking views before descending back to Kibo Hut for a short rest. After lunch, continue down to Horombo Hut (3,720m), where you’ll spend the night after a long but rewarding day (12–15 hours of trekking).

Day 5

The final day is a steady descent through moorland and rainforest, passing Mandara Hut before reaching Marangu Gate (approx. 18 km, 5–7 hours). Here, you’ll receive your summit certificates and say farewell to your guides and porters. You will then be transfered back to Moshi/Arusha at your hotel, where a hot shower, a comfortable bed, and well-earned rest await after conquering Africa’s highest peak.(The Accomodation is not included in package).
