Arusha to Serengeti Ndutu for the Great Migration

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and driven to the Serengeti Ndutu, where you’ll witness incredible wildlife sightings with a focus on the Great Migration. After enjoying lunch in a scenic spot inside the park, the adventure continues with an afternoon game drive before heading to camp. The Great Migration is the world’s largest herd movement, where wildebeests, zebras, and other animals gather for the calving season. During this time, thousands of wildebeests give birth, creating a remarkable wildlife spectacle. The best period to experience this is from mid-December to early April each year.

Wake up early today to enjoy the Great Migration in Serengeti Ndutu. In the afternoon, transfer to your accommodation on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim for an overnight stay. This allows you to descend into the Crater early the next morning when wildlife is most active.

After exploring Ngorongoro Crater, you will begin your journey back to Arusha. The drive takes you through scenic highlands, local villages, and farmland, offering a glimpse of rural Tanzanian life. Along the way, enjoy the stunning landscapes, rolling hills, and views of Mount Meru in the distance. You will have opportunities for photos and short stops to stretch and take in the scenery. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport, marking the end of your safari adventure, filled with unforgettable memories of wildlife and nature.
