Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Home of Mountain Gorillas
You'll start the day with an early breakfast before setting out from Entebbe via the Equator line for monumental photo shoots. You'll continue the drive via the Rift Valley through the Kigezi Highlands and on to the mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is home to endangered mountain gorillas. You'll retire your day at the lodge overlooking the misty forest.

Mountain Gorilla Encounter – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You'll spend the day tracking the endangered mountain gorilla, spending up to an hour among them. You'll see mothers keeping infants close as they knucklewalk on three limbs. You'll watch scampering toddlers reined in by an attentive father. Late in the day, you'll transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight stay in the middle of Africa’s second deepest lake.

You'll start the day with a relaxed breakfast before starting the boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi for island hopping. You'll then drive to Entebbe. With a lunch stop on the way and getting some time to stretch the legs at the equator. You'll drive to Entebbe and have a relaxed evening as you get ready for the Big Five wildlife encounter in Tanzania the next day.

With a lazy breakfast, your guide will pick you up and proceed to Tarangire National Park, one of the largest national parks in Tanzania, located in the Manyara region. This place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees, also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for the Tarangire River, which flows all year round and is the only source of water for wild animals during the dry seasons.

With an early breakfast, you'll proceed to the famous Ngorongoro Highland, looking forward to descending into the famous Ngorongoro Crater rim and experiencing the 8th Wonder of the World. It’s a half-day game drive down the crater rim. The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20 km across, 600 meters deep, and 300 sq km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. You'll transfer to spend the night in the middle of the Serengeti Plains.

Today, you'll spend the whole day on a game drive in this National Park, which is rich with all the different species of animals. To maximize wildlife viewing, you will carry a picnic lunch with you and spend the full day in the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is an ecosystem on its own, explore the diverse landscape with ever-changing flora and fauna.

Serengeti National Park & Transfer to Karatu
You will spend the morning exploring the great Serengeti plains, its animals, and incredible landscapes. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. Apart from the migrating herds, you may see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch and proceed to Karatu via the famous Ngorongoro Highlands.

You can decide to have a lavish local lunch in the areas before you head back to Arusha or to the airport for your departure back home with lots of African memories, as you have wrapped up the 10-day Gorilla Trekking & Big 5 Encounter in Uganda and Tanzania.
