Start the day with an early morning drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The Mara is one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still roams largely undisturbed, in numbers reminiscent of Africa’s historic plains and forests. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at your campsite or lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya)
Best Time To Visit June to October (For general wildlife viewing) and July or August to October (For wildebeest migration)

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Spend a full day in Maasai Mara.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch provided. The reserve is famous for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife, and it is one of the few places where you can see the Big Five in a single morning. Cheetahs are often so relaxed they seek shade under vehicles, and some even climb onto roofs for a better view of potential prey.

Bird enthusiasts will be delighted, as nearly 500 species have been recorded, including 16 species of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, six species of vultures, eight species of storks, four species of bustard (including the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and nine species of sunbirds.

Dinner and overnight stay at your campsite or lodge.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

Full day in the Serengeti with a flexible schedule.

As you reach the hillsides, the vast Serengeti stretches out before you—true to its Kiswahili name, "endless plains." Covering 6,900 sq. miles (18,000 sq. km), the park is home to over 2 million large animals, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Large predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey. Smaller animals like rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares also inhabit the park, alongside nearly 500 species of birds.

In the afternoon, continue with a game drive en route to your campsite.

Dinner and overnight stay at a public campsite or private tented camp/lodge.

With walls rising 2,000 ft high and a crater floor spanning 102 sq. miles, it is a natural sanctuary home to nearly every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino.
