Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Zanzibar Airport, where you will board a small aircraft bound for the Serengeti Airstrip. During the flight, enjoy stunning aerial views of the Tanzanian landscape, from the turquoise Indian Ocean and rolling hinterlands to the expansive plains of the Serengeti.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airstrip and transferred to your safari vehicle to begin your adventure. You will enjoy a packed lunch in the field before setting out on your afternoon game drive, exploring the rich savannahs teeming with wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you may spot zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and even predators on the hunt. As the day draws to a close, experience a spectacular Serengeti sunset, with golden light illuminating the vast plains—a truly magical introduction to the park. After the game drive, you will be taken to your lodge for check-in and evening relaxation.

Full-day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your safari adventure continues with another exciting game drive. You have the option to enjoy a full-day game drive, or split it into two sessions — an early morning drive followed by an evening excursion.

If you wish to take a break, the afternoon can be spent relaxing at your lodge, soaking in the surroundings and enjoying the peaceful wilderness. However, for those eager to maximize wildlife sightings, staying out in the park for the full day offers the best chance to encounter lions, leopards, elephants, and the abundant plains game in their natural habitat.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

After an early breakfast, you will set out on a morning game drive to explore more of the Serengeti’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Around midday, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch before checking out and beginning your scenic journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

By evening, you’ll arrive at the luxurious Ngorongoro Melia Lodge, perfectly perched with breathtaking views over the crater. After a smooth check-in, unwind with a delightful dinner and an early night, preparing for the thrilling early morning descent into the crater floor the following day.

Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar via Arusha

After breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular 5-hour safari experience. Often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is home to around 30,000 animals, including one of the few remaining populations of endangered black rhinos.

With permanent water and grazing, the crater sustains an incredible variety of wildlife year-round. Here, you’ll encounter vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, and warthogs, as well as hippos lazing in pools and towering African elephants. The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot predators in action—majestic lions, cunning hyenas, elusive jackals, sleek cheetahs, and the rare, secretive leopard.

You’ll pause for a picnic lunch on the crater floor, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. In the late afternoon, your journey continues back to Arusha Airport, where you’ll board your flight to Zanzibar, carrying unforgettable memories of your safari adventure.
