Arrival at Arusha/JRO – Ngorongoro Crater for game drive

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or in Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide. After a short briefing, drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater for a game drive where you may encounter lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and buffaloes, along with countless bird species. In the afternoon, proceed toward the Serengeti National Park. Arrive in time for dinner and overnight stay inside Serengeti, surrounded by the unique sounds of the African bush.

NOTE: If your flight arrives late in the day, we suggest overnighting in Arusha and starting your adventure fresh the next morning.

Serengeti National Park – Transfer to Karatu

Rise early for breakfast then after you start your game drive in the Serengeti, known for its abundance of wildlife and predator action. Look out for cheetahs on the open plains, leopards in acacia trees, and lions lazing in the sun. Afternoon, continue exploring the park before starting your journey toward Karatu, a scenic town nestled near the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight stay in Karatu, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

Tarangire National Park – Departure

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast herds of elephants, giant baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a game drive as you explore the park, spotting giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and, with luck, big cats. In the afternoon, depart for Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable 3 Day Safari with Big Five.
