The safari begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, a game drive is the main event, focusing on the park's impressive elephant population and its signature baobab trees. The Tarangire River provides a vital water source, attracting a diverse range of animals. After a day of exploration, you will settle into a Siafu Serenity lodge for dinner and overnight.

After a final look at the Tarangire area, you will begin the scenic drive to the Serengeti National Park. The route takes you through the beautiful highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, providing a taste of the stunning scenery to come. As you enter the Serengeti, you will immediately begin a game drive, with wildlife viewing starting the moment you cross the park's boundaries. The tour will then proceed for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for a full day of exploration.

Full Day in the Serengeti

This entire day is dedicated to a comprehensive game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Your guide will follow the movements of wildlife, a strategy that often leads to spectacular sightings. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Migration, with vast herds of wildebeest and zebra on the move. The Serengeti is also renowned for its large predator population, and you will search for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The experience is an immersive one, allowing you to fully appreciate the raw and untamed beauty of the African plains.

Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim

You will enjoy one last game drive in the Serengeti as the group makes its way towards the park gate. Leaving the endless plains behind, the journey continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers stunning vistas as you ascend the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater's rim. The group will arrive at their accommodation located near the crater rim, where you will spend the night with a breathtaking view of the vast caldera.

Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha

The final day is a grand finale, beginning with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will spend a significant part of the day on an extensive game drive on the crater floor, a unique ecosystem that supports an incredibly dense population of wildlife, including the rare black rhino. The crater provides one of the best opportunities in Africa to see the "Big Five" in a single location. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, the group will ascend the crater wall and begin the journey back to Arusha, concluding the safari.
