Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour

Your adventure begins with a morning drive from Moshi or Arusha to Materuni Village, located on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Accompanied by a local guide, you will walk through banana and coffee plantations while learning about Chagga culture and traditions. The highlight is a visit to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, where you can relax and even take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear pool. Later, you will join a coffee-making tour, experiencing the traditional process from bean to cup and enjoying freshly brewed local coffee. After lunch in the village, you will continue your journey to Karatu, where you will spend the night in a budget lodge or campsite.

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, often called the "Garden of Eden" for its incredible concentration of wildlife. The crater floor is home to lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and, if you are lucky, the endangered black rhino. With a picnic lunch enjoyed at the hippo poolside, your day will be filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters set against dramatic crater landscapes. In the afternoon, you will drive to a campsite or budget lodge near Tarangire National Park, where you will spend the night.

Tarangire National Park – Return to Arusha

On your final day, you will enter Tarangire National Park, a gem known for its iconic baobab trees and the largest elephant herds in Tanzania. A game drive along the Tarangire River offers excellent opportunities to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and diverse birdlife that thrive around the water source. After a picnic lunch inside the park and a final glimpse of the wildlife, you will begin your return journey to Arusha or Moshi, where your tour comes to an end.
