Day 1

Arusha- Ngorongoro Crater

Arusha- Ngorongoro Crater

Karibu sana rafiki yangu, leo tunaanza safari yako ya siku tatu!”

This morning I will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast. We will drive through the Great Rift Valley and pass the green highlands on our way to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Along the road, you may see Maasai people with their cattle and small villages.

When we reach the crater, we will descend to the floor — one of the best places in Africa to see wild animals. Here you will find zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, hippos, lions, and maybe the rare black rhino. We will enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool and continue our game drive in the afternoon.

In the evening, we will drive to Karatu town where he or she will have dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn, a peaceful lodge with lovely gardens.

Karatu – Tarangire National Park – Arusha

Karatu – Tarangire National Park – Arusha

“Asubuhi njema rafiki yangu, leo ni siku ya mwisho ya safari yetu, lakini bado kuna mambo mazuri ya kuona!”

After breakfast at Eileen’s Tree Inn, we check out and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. As we enter the park, you’ll notice the landscape is different — with open plains, swamps, and woodlands that attract many kinds of animals.

We will enjoy a game drive where you can see elephants up close, as well as giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and maybe even lions resting under the shade. The Tarangire River is the lifeline of the park, and in the dry season, it attracts hundreds of animals, making it a perfect spot for wildlife viewing.

We will have a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with a short afternoon game drive. Later in the day, we will drive back to Arusha, where I will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport for your next journey.

Main Destination:
Tarangire National Park
Best Time To Visit July to November (Animals come to the Tarangire River)
High Season June to October (The park is full of visitors)
