Day 1

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Your safari begins in the morning with a warm welcome and briefing from your guide at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. After introductions, the journey to northwestern Uganda starts, taking about 5–6 hours by road. On the way, you will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting 1–2 hour rhino tracking experience. This gives you a rare opportunity to see Uganda’s only wild rhinos in their natural habitat.
After the trek, continue through Budongo Forest, where playful baboons often greet travelers along the roadside. Upon reaching the park, check in to your lodge and take some time to relax. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River, where you will encounter elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds. The cruise ends at the base of the mighty Murchison Falls, a dramatic sight where the Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Later, enjoy a boat safari on the Nile, which offers up-close encounters with hippos and Nile crocodiles basking along the shores. The boat also provides a spectacular view of Murchison Falls from below, accompanied by sightings of colorful bird species such as kingfishers and bee-eaters.
