Day 1

Your adventure starts with an early morning transfer from your Entebbe accommodation to Mabamba Swamp, a celebrated birdwatching paradise. On arrival, you set out on a guided canoe excursion, drifting through the peaceful wetlands in search of the remarkable Shoebill stork, one of Uganda’s most sought-after birds. As you move along the swamp’s narrow channels, sightings of other colorful species such as malachite kingfishers, African jacanas, and hammerkops add to the excitement, creating a remarkable outing for any bird lover.
After a rewarding morning on the water, you pause for lunch at a local restaurant, where you’ll sample tasty Ugandan dishes. In the afternoon, your journey takes you back to Entebbe, with chances to stop at nearby birding spots or simply unwind along the calm shores of Lake Victoria.
