Lake Manyara National Park Game drive

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from Arusha town or Kilimanjaro International Airport, followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Often described as one of Tanzania’s most picturesque parks, Lake Manyara is a wildlife-rich haven known for its dense forests, open grassy plains, and the sparkling alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos and other bird species. During your game drive, you’ll explore the park’s diverse habitats, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons, and the famous tree-climbing lions resting in the acacia trees. A packed picnic lunch will be enjoyed at one of the designated areas inside the park, offering a chance to relax while surrounded by nature. After the game drive, you’ll continue to the nearby town of Karatu, located in the scenic highlands just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll check in at Marera Valley Lodge for a relaxing evening, where you’ll enjoy dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater Game drive

After an early breakfast at Marera Valley Lodge, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," the crater is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on Earth and home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, you have a lucky to spot the Big Five—including black rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard—as well as cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, and a variety of bird species. The diverse landscapes, from open grasslands to acacia forests and soda lakes, make for an unforgettable safari experience. Around midday, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool picnic site. In the afternoon, you’ll ascend from the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha. Depending on your travel plans, you will be dropped off at your hotel or directly at the airport, marking the end of your incredible 2-day safari adventure.
