Airport where one of our drivers will meet you. The drive from the airport to the lodge takes about 40 minutes. Your first night is spent at a lodge situated on a golf, polo, and wildlife estate. Meet up with the rest of the group (unless it is a private safari), followed by sundowner and dinner hosted by one of the guides for the safari. If there is a polo game on, sundowner will be at the polo club.

Day 2

After breakfast we drive for fifty minutes to catch a morning flight to Ndutu airstrip in the southern Serengeti. After the flight, depending on where you fly in, anything between 2-4 hours drive, depending on routing (you may be flown over the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara or Tarangire National Park, a wonderful opportunity to see these iconic sites from the air), you will be met by a safari vehicle at Ndutu. Then set off driving, past impressive rocky outcrops known as “kopjes, river courses and across the Serengeti’s famous short grass plains. This safari uses a custom-made mobile camp designed for comfort and privacy. Your tent is a private canvas structure with an interior size of approximately 3x3 meters, offering enough space for a comfortable bed and personal items. Each tent features an en-suite bush toilet and a hot bucket shower, providing a full-board camping experience that is both luxurious and authentic.

The true adventure begins with your first full day in the saddle. After a bush breakfast, you’ll spend hours riding across the rolling plains, moving with the immense herds of wildebeest and zebra. This offers a profound connection to the landscape as you become part of the rhythm of the Great Migration. You will return to camp for a relaxing lunch and a siesta during the heat of the day before an afternoon ride to spot predators like lions or cheetahs. The day concludes with a well-deserved dinner under the stars, followed by a restful night in your private canvas tent. This safari uses a custom-made mobile camp, designed for both comfort and authenticity. Your tent, approximately 3x3 meters, features a comfortable bed and an en-suite bush toilet and a hot bucket shower, providing a luxurious yet genuine full-board camping experience.

Day 4

Today You will spend hours riding across the gently rolling plains, following the immense herds of wildebeest and zebra. You will return to camp for a relaxing lunch and a siesta during the heat of the day. In the late afternoon, you will head out for a second ride, continuing to explore the vast plains and a chance to spot predators such as lions or cheetahs. Day 5

Today, you will experience the mobile nature of the safari as you ride to a new camp location. After an early wake-up and breakfast, you will mount your horse and set off. The support crew will break down the camp and set it up ahead of you at the new location. You will ride through different areas, perhaps a grassy valley dotted with picturesque granite outcrops or an acacia woodland. You'll meet the support crew for an al-fresco lunch in the bush before continuing your ride to the new camp. Arriving in the late afternoon, you'll be welcomed with refreshments before settling in to your new surroundings, followed by hot showers and dinner around the campfire.

Day 6
Exploration
Exploration
From your new camp location, you will have a full day to explore. The route will be determined by the movement of the wildlife and your guide's expertise. You might head to a river course to see wildlife gathering for a drink, or ride to a rocky outcrop for a different vantage point of the plains. This is a day for deeper exploration, focusing on specific animal behaviors and the intricate details of the ecosystem. The day's riding is interspersed with a break for a picnic lunch in the bush and a siesta. You will return to camp in the evening for another night in this spectacular setting.

Day 7
Deepening the Exploration

Another full day of riding awaits, allowing you to venture into an entirely new area from your second camp. You might track a pride of lions from a safe distance or explore a remote section of the plains known for its birdlife. This day is about truly immersing yourself in the vastness of the Serengeti, discovering hidden corners and enjoying the freedom of a horse-riding safari. The day concludes with a final dinner in the bush, sharing stories of your adventure around the campfire.

Day 8
Game drive and Fly Camping
Game drive and Fly Camping
At one point during the safari (weather allowing) you will spend the night in a lightweight fly camp, sleeping under mosquito nets. This morning you jump into the vehicles (there will be a game drive with a picnic lunch on route, crossing the short grass plains and looking out for cats such as cheetah, lion and leopard which thrive here, as well as elephant and the flamingo which gather on the area’s soda lakes. Later in the afternoon you will reach the fly camp in time for sundowners followed by dinner under the stars. (B, L, D every day).

Day 9
Final Day
Final Day
An early wake-up call to say farewell to the horses and crew. The drive this morning will be up the Ngorongoro highlands and breakfast will be on route overlooking the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. After checking out at the gate you head to the African galleria, a great place to buy anything from arts, tanzanite or just a small Tanzanian gift. Shortly after you head to the Manyara Airstrip followed by a 40 minutes flight back to the estate, thereafter vehicle transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for onward flights.
