Arrival – Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or explore the lively town of Arusha, which sits at the foot of Mount Meru. Dinner and overnight will be at Summit Safari Lodge, where you can prepare for the adventure ahead.

Arusha – Ndutu

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Ndutu region, located between the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area is the heart of the Great Migration calving season, where vast herds of wildebeest gather on the fertile plains to give birth. The abundance of newborn calves attracts numerous predators, offering thrilling sightings of predator-prey interactions. You will enjoy game drives throughout the day before arriving at Kontiki Ndutu Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Ndutu

Today is dedicated to exploring Ndutu during the height of the calving season. The sweeping plains are filled with wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and their young, creating a haven for big cats such as cheetahs and lions. Your guide will take you to the best spots to witness this remarkable natural event, capturing the circle of life in real time. After a full day of game drives, you will return to Kontiki Ndutu Camp for dinner and another night close to the action.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart Ndutu and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descending into the crater floor, you will enjoy a half-day game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to an incredible variety of animals, including elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Following your crater safari and a picnic lunch, you will ascend and drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
