On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will clear with immigrations and will be met by your driver/guide at international arrivals. Thereafter, you will be transferred to your luxury hotel in Entebbe - No 5 Boutique hotel.

Flight to Kihihi airstrip and transfer to lodge in Bwindi

Your day begins early with breakfast at 6:00 am before a transfer to Entebbe International Airport for a 7:00 am flight to Kihihi Airstrip, a scenic journey of about 2 hours 30 minutes. On arrival, you’ll transfer to your lodge- Gorilla Forest Lodge, settling in before enjoying lunch. This will be home for the next two nights.

In the afternoon, experience the Batwa Cultural Village, where the Batwa people, once forest dwellers, share their traditional way of life. Supported by a cultural program that allows them to remain on this land, they warmly welcome visitors with demonstrations of fire-making, cooking, weapon crafting, and vibrant dances. Your day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

D-Day for Gorilla Trekking

Today is the D-Day.

Rise early and enjoy a hearty breakfast to prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure—tracking the mighty mountain gorillas. By 8:00 am, gather at the ranger station for registration and a briefing before setting off with your guides into the dense rainforest.

The trek, lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, winds through thick undergrowth and hidden trails in search of one of the habituated gorilla families—those gently accustomed to human presence. When you find them, you’ll spend a magical hour in their company, watching their interactions, listening to their soft calls, and marveling at the presence of the Silverback. To sit among these gentle giants, knowing they are among the last of their kind, is a humbling and profoundly moving experience. A rare reminder of the fragility and beauty of life on earth.

Thereafter, you will be driven back to the hotel for a relaxing rest of the day reflecting on the beauty and majesty of Bwindi forest.
