Day 1

Your adventure kicks off early in the morning with a warm welcome from your professional driver-guide in Entebbe. From there, you'll set off on a scenic westward journey through Uganda’s picturesque countryside, passing rolling hills, rural villages, and lush tea plantations on your way to Kibale Forest National Park—aptly known as the “Primate Capital of the World.” The drive takes around 6 to 7 hours, with scheduled stops for lunch and photo opportunities along the way. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the tranquil Kibale Bweza Lodge, tucked near the edge of the forest. Settle in, enjoy a hearty dinner, and rest up for your first unforgettable encounter with Uganda’s great apes.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you'll head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing ahead of your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced trackers, you'll venture into the lush forests of Kibale National Park in search of one of the habituated chimpanzee families. With over 1,500 chimpanzees residing in the park, your chances of an encounter are excellent. Along the way, keep an eye out for other primates like red colobus monkeys and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as a wide array of bird species.
Following the trek, enjoy a well-earned lunch before continuing your journey south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, renowned for its world-famous gorilla trekking experiences. The scenic drive—via either the Ishasha or Kabale route—takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, offering beautiful views of the Ugandan countryside.
Upon arrival in Bwindi, you’ll check in at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge, conveniently located near one of the main gorilla trekking trailheads.

Day 3

Today marks the pinnacle of your safari adventure. After an early breakfast, you'll make your way to the Rushaga sector headquarters for a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. There, you’ll be assigned to a specific gorilla family and begin your journey into the dense, mist-covered forests, guided by experienced rangers.
The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla group. Once found, you’ll have the extraordinary opportunity to spend up to one hour in their presence—observing, photographing, and simply absorbing this rare and moving encounter with these gentle giants. It’s an unforgettable experience that many describe as life-changing.
After the trek, drive to Lake Bunyonyi—a tranquil retreat known for its terraced hills, island-dotted waters, and nickname, “the Switzerland of Africa.” Upon arrival, check into your lakeside lodge and unwind as you enjoy the peaceful beauty of the evening.

Day 4

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast with beautiful views over Lake Bunyonyi before beginning your journey back to Entebbe. The drive, though long—approximately 7 to 8 hours—is incredibly scenic, offering plenty of opportunities to stop for photos, stretch your legs, and enjoy lunch along the way.
