3-Day Akagera National Park and Unva Muhazi Tour

Transfer from Kigali to Akagera National Park

Morning: You will be picked up either from the airport or your hotel after breakfast and proceed with a drive to Akagera National Park. On arrival, you will enter through the Southern gate and proceed to check in at Akagera Game Lodge, followed by lunch.

At 4:30 pm: You will experience a boat ride on Lake Ihema, where you may see hippos, a variety of bird species, crocodiles, and some other land animals that come to the Lake shores for water.

Game Drive and Transfer to Unva Muhazi

After having your breakfast, you will check out and settle any extras, and proceed on a wildlife viewing drive both in the South and North sectors of the park with a lunch stopover at Mihindi Café.

Later, you'll exit the park through the Southern gate and drive to Unva Muhazi.

Kayaking on Lake Muhazi and Departure

You'll have a relaxed breakfast and later walk to the lake, where you will do the Kayaking experience. This doesn’t require any experience, and the guide is available to direct you where necessary. You may decide to check out and return to Kigali or decide to have lunch (extra cost).
