Day 1
Nairobi to Tarangire national park
Nairobi to Tarangire national park
This morning, you will take a scheduled flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport (pickup location to be confirmed) to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide, who will give you a brief orientation before setting off on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Once there, enjoy a game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, home to large herds of elephants, baobab trees, and abundant wildlife.
Tarangire National Park is almost 3000 sq km in size and is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park. Tarangire is especially spectacular during the dry season (June - November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti (since enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water).

Ngorongoro Crater game drive
Early this morning, you will depart for Ngorongoro and descend into the crater for a full-day game drive.
Renowned as the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera on Earth. Formed over two million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed inward, it now stretches over 19 kilometers in width and is enclosed by towering 600-meter-high walls.
Within this breathtaking natural amphitheater lies a rich diversity of habitats — including acacia woodlands, swamps teeming with hippos, and open grasslands — home to over 30,000 animals. Here, you may encounter elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, abundant birdlife, elusive black rhinos, and the full range of Africa’s big cats.
