Arrival and Afternoon Safari

Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met by your safari guide. He will take you to Rukiya Safari Camp, which is situated right in the middle of Wild Rivers Nature Reserve near Hoedspruit. Situated in the Greater Kruger Park Region, this scenic and pristine slice of exclusive African wilderness provides sanctuary for those who seek an authentic and secluded lifestyle experience in nature. The vast 2,600-hectare reserve, bordered by both the Blyde and Olifants Rivers, boasts a diverse landscape with rocky outcrops and savanna where plains game can roam freely.

You'll join the afternoon game drive on the reserve and savor a delicious dinner served at the lodge before retiring for the night.

Kruger National Park Safari

Your full-day safari in Kruger National Park begins with an early morning drive to catch the wildlife at its most active. After a mid-morning break at a rest camp, the adventure continues through various habitats, with stops at key wildlife hotspots. Lunch is usually at the rest area, camp restaurants, or picnic site, followed by an afternoon drive to explore more areas of the park. The entire experience offers a comprehensive and exciting adventure, showcasing Kruger’s diverse ecosystems and rich wildlife at all hours of the day.

Upon return to the camp, you'll enjoy another dinner under the light of the stars and the African night sky.

Game Drives in a private game reserve

This day starts with a shared game drive on the nearby Big 5 Balule Game Reserve. Balule offers an authentic wildlife experience. All safari animals are present and can wander between the property and neighboring Kruger. A large concentration of giraffe, waterbuck, and wildebeest attracts predators in great numbers. Large herds of buffalo and elephants often roam the area and later go on an afternoon game drive.
