Day 2

After breakfast, your Lion King Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and set off for Tarangire National Park, a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive on well-paved roads. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, a vital lifeline that draws wildlife from across the region, especially during the dry season.
Famous for its vast elephant herds, Tarangire offers incredible opportunities to watch these gentle giants gathering along the riverbanks. You may also spot giraffes, hartebeests, bushbucks, and—if you’re lucky—predators like lions and leopards on the prowl. Bird lovers will be delighted too, as Tarangire boasts one of the richest varieties of bird species in the world.

After breakfast, your journey continues into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you’ll stop to admire the stunning panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes. From there, you’ll travel onward through the conservation area until you reach the southern plains of the legendary Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is a land of endless horizons, renowned for its sweeping grasslands and unrivaled wildlife encounters. While the park is home to an extraordinary variety of animals, it is most famous for the Great Migration—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Depending on the season, you may witness hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes moving in unison across the plains in search of fresh pasture and water.

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set out on a scenic drive toward the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, taking in sweeping views and spotting wildlife along the way. Your afternoon will be dedicated to exploring this natural wonder before continuing to your accommodation in Karatu.
Encircled by dramatic volcanic walls, the Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most breathtaking wildlife sanctuaries. Its diverse habitats include golden savannahs, shimmering lakes, lush swamps, and shady acacia woodlands. Formed more than two million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption, it remains the largest unbroken caldera on Earth.

Day 6
Lake Manyara National Park

This morning, you’ll set off for Lake Manyara National Park, the final highlight of your unforgettable safari. Though compact in size—just 120 km west of Arusha—this park is packed with diversity and dramatic scenery. Towering above the western edge of the park, the Great Rift Escarpment creates a stunning backdrop for the shallow, seasonal Lake Manyara, home to thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other species.
As you explore, keep an eye out for playful baboons and majestic elephants within the dense evergreen forests, and don’t miss the park’s famous tree-climbing lions—a sight unique to Lake Manyara.
