Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park (approximately 120 km, 2 hours’ drive). Upon arrival, you will enjoy a full day of exciting game drives and exploration of the park, which is famous for its giant baobab trees, vast elephant herds, and diverse wildlife along the Tarangire River. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park at one of the designated picnic sites, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wilderness. In the late afternoon, after your safari adventure, you will continue your drive, ascending the scenic Rift Valley escarpment towards Karatu town (about 95 km, 1 hours’ drive) where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (about 15 km, 30 minutes’ drive to the gate). From there, you descend nearly 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wildlife haven often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. You will spend the morning exploring the crater floor, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, hippos, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot near the hippo pool.
In the afternoon, you will ascend the caldera and continue your journey toward the Central Serengeti (approx. 145 km, 3–4 hours drive). Along the way, enjoy a game drive en route as you traverse the endless plains, catching your first glimpses of Serengeti’s abundant wildlife and sweeping landscapes. By evening, you will arrive at your special tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Central Serengeti - Drive Back to Arusha

After an early breakfast and check-out from your camp in the Serengeti, you will begin your journey back to Arusha. This is not just a transfer, but a full game drive en route as you exit the Serengeti, allowing you to enjoy final wildlife encounters along the way. The drive from Central Serengeti through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is approximately 250 km (6–7 hours including game drives). On the way, you will have the chance to stop at a traditional Maasai village, where you can experience and witness the fascinating culture of the Maasai people—known for their colorful dress, traditional dances, and unique lifestyle. After this cultural encounter, the journey continues as you descend the Great Rift Valley wall, enjoying scenic views of the highlands and Lake Manyara. By late afternoon or evening, you will arrive in Arusha and be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your drop-off and onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
