Day 1

Your excursion begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, you’ll pause at a viewpoint to admire the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment and catch a glimpse of Mount Longonot, an impressive dormant volcano rising in the distance.

Continuing the journey, you’ll pass by Lake Elementaita, where a small number of flamingos can often be seen, before arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is renowned for its rich wildlife, including zebras, gazelles, giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons, and predators such as lions and hyenas. It is also famous for its birdlife, with flamingos and more than 400 recorded bird species adding to the spectacle.

You’ll enjoy a four- to five-hour game drive through the park, followed by a refreshing lunch at a local hotel. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Nairobi, with drop-off at your hotel or the original departure point.
