Lake Manyara National Park is a tiny yet varied park. The scale of everything you see here is different. It is both majestic (the Great Rift Escarpment towering over the western limit of Lake Manyara) and compact (this is one of Africa's narrowest parks). A tiny Salt Lake is the park's namesake. Thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and more than 500 other bird species, call it home. You might spot baboons and elephants in the park's dense evergreen forest.
