Day 1

Arrival in Arusha and Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

Arrival in Arusha and Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

You will be transferred from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide and begin your journey toward Tarangire National Park. This beautiful park is known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The drive will take you through scenic landscapes and local villages before entering the park.

Once inside, you will enjoy an exciting game drive across the savannah plains and along the Tarangire River, where many animals gather to drink. You may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and various antelope species, as well as predators such as lions. The park is also rich in birdlife, making it a great destination for bird enthusiasts. You will stop for a picnic lunch inside the park, before continuing with the days game drive.

After the game drive, you will be transferred to Heart and Soul Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Game Drive in Ndutu

After an early breakfast, you will depart from Heart and Soul Lodge and begin your scenic journey toward the Ndutu region, located within the southern Serengeti ecosystem and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop for a picnic lunch en route while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Ngorongoro highlands and surrounding wilderness, before continuing to Ndutu.

Upon arrival in Ndutu, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive across the vast open plains, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather from December to March to give birth. The abundance of newborn animals attracts predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas and leopards, creating exceptional opportunities for wildlife encounters and photography.

After your game drive, you will head to Tanzania Bush Camp for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3

Today will be dedicated to a full-day safari across the remarkable Ndutu plains, one of the most important wildlife areas during the Great Migration calving season, when thousands of wildebeest give birth across the open grasslands.

You will follow the herds across the short-grass plains, where predator action is at its peak. Expect excellent chances to see lions, cheetahs, hyenas and leopards interacting with the migration. The wide, open landscape offers excellent visibility and ideal photography opportunities for unforgettable wildlife moments.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, keeping you close to the action throughout the day. In the evening, after an exciting safari, you will return to Tanzania bush Camp for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

*For an additional fee, you can enhance your experience with the option of a hot air balloon safari, giving you a birds-eye view of the breathtaking scenery and herds of wildlife moving across the savannah*.

Day 4

On your final day, you will enjoy breakfast before departing Ndutu and heading toward the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will descend into the crater for a half-day game drive, exploring its rich wildlife floor, home to an incredible concentration of animals within a unique enclosed ecosystem.

The crater floor is home to elephants, zebras, buffalo, hippos and an impressive concentration of predators, as well as the endangered and protected black rhino.

Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch beside the scenic hippo pool, surrounded by incredible views. You will then ascend the crater and start your journey to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable 4-day safari.
