Arusha – Drive to Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha.

You will drive through the Great Rift Valley with views of Lake Manyara on the way.

The road continues past the Ngorongoro highlands before descending into the Ndutu plains.

On arrival, you will enjoy your first game drive among massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles.

Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas will be following the herds, creating thrilling sightings.

A picnic lunch will be served during the day.

In the evening, you will drive to your lodge or tented camp in Ndutu for dinner and overnight.

Game Drive in Ndutu

You will start with an early morning game drive to witness the best predator action.

After breakfast, you will spend the full day exploring the Ndutu calving grounds and short-grass plains.

This is where the wildebeest give birth to their young, making it the best time to see newborn calves.

You can also expect to see predator-prey interactions throughout the day.

Lunch will be served as a picnic in the bush to maximize game viewing.

In the afternoon, you will continue your game drive before returning to your camp in Ndutu for dinner and overnight.

Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will leave Ndutu and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

The crater floor is home to elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, zebras, and wildebeest.

You will also have a chance to spot the endangered black rhino.

Lunch will be served as a picnic at the hippo pool inside the crater.

In the afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha.

Arrival in Arusha will be by early evening, marking the end of your safari.
