Fly from Zanzibar to Arusha in the morning to begin your journey; your safari guide will meet you there. Drive directly to Tarangire National Park from here, which is well-known for its massive herds of elephants and its recognizable baobab trees. Experience an exhilarating game drive around the park and see a variety of birds, giraffes, lions, zebras, and wildebeest. Following an exhilarating day in the wild, proceed to Karatu, a quaint hamlet close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will check into your lodge or tented camp for dinner and spend the night, relaxing in preparation for the upcoming crater experience.
