Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your lodgings in Arusha. You'll set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. As you zip along, you'll pass many Maasais in their colorful dresses walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts. Tarangire, renowned for its large elephant herds, is also home to a diverse array of other creatures. From the open roof of our state-of-the-art safari jeep, you'll experience the seasonal swamps, savannah, and life-giving Tarangire River. Endeavor to encounter a multitude of creatures, from zebras to wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes, to name a few.

Day 3
Karatu to Ndutu
Karatu to Ndutu
After breakfast, you will leave Karatu and enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will proceed, crossing the Ngorongoro Highlands to the Ndutu Area. Here, you'll start the game drive for this day with special attention to the great migration.
The great migration herds aggregate close to the Lake Ndutu area between the Serengeti and Ngorongoro from December to April. Here, they find fresh food and big predators waiting for them. From January, it is the beginning of the calving season for wildebeest.

Day 4
Ndutu Via Ngorongoro Highlands to Karatu
Ndutu Via Ngorongoro Highlands to Karatu
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will enjoy the last game drive in the Ndutu Area. Late in the afternoon, you will proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was formed millions of years ago with the massive explosion of a volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro, and is 610m deep and covers roughly 304sq km. It has a dense animal population of approximately 25,000 ungulates. After a final game drive in Ndutu, you will drive to your accommodation at karatu for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, you will descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is a must-see while on safari in Tanzania for its high density of wild animals. You will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and perhaps, if we are lucky, black rhinos through the grass. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha.
