Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake early and enjoy a light breakfast before heading to Volcanoes National Park HQ for a briefing. You'll join a small group and be assigned to one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Accompanied by expert trackers, you’ll hike through misty bamboo forests and lush slopes in search of the gorillas. Once located, you'll spend one unforgettable hour observing them—watching a silverback lead, babies tumble in play, and mothers groom their young. This moment is deeply emotional and perfect to share as newlyweds.
Return to your lodge by midday for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, unwind with a couples’ massage or optional cultural experience, such as a visit to the nearby Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. End the day with a private dinner in your villa, complete with fine wine and a view of the stars.
