After an early breakfast, you will drive from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Ndutu region. Covering about 8,000 square kilometers, Ndutu forms part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stretches into the unfenced southern Serengeti, close to the renowned Ngorongoro Crater.

Ndutu is also significant for its archaeological discoveries. In 1973, a 400,000-year-old human skull and Stone Age tools were unearthed here, showing features of both Homo erectus and Homo sapiens, with a brain size between the two species.

The Ndutu region is 8,000 square meters in size and is a component of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The area extends to the unfenced southern Serengeti National Park and contains the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

Ndutu, a site in northern Tanzania known for a 400,000-year-old human cranium and associated Stone Age tools discovered there in 1973. The skull displays traits of both Homo erectus and Homo sapiens, with a brain size intermediate between the two species.
