You will take ET-110 flight Addis - semera, arriving at 8:20 AM. Upon arrival, our driver and guide will greet you and begin the journey to Erta Ale via Afdera Town, covering a distance of 168 km, which takes approximately 3.5 hours. After a one-hour lunch break, you will continue to the Erta Ale campsite, expected to arrive by 4:30 PM. Following a brief rest, you will embark on a one-hour hike to the active volcano, where you will spend 1.5 to 2 hours exploring before trekking back to the campsite, which will take another 45 minutes to an hour. A fresh dinner will be waiting for you upon your return.

Day 2
Drive Erta Ale-Lake Assale-Hamed Ela

You will rise at 5 AM to trek for an hour to an active volcano, where you will witness the sunrise and spend approximatelyp an hour and a half exploring the area before returning to the campsite. After breakfast, you will depart around 10 AM for Hamed Ela, a journey of 70 km that takes about three hours. Following a break until 4:30 PM, you will drive for an hour to Lake Assale to enjoy the sunset, spending two hours at the lake before heading back to the Hamed Ela campsite, where a fresh dinner awaits. You will then camp overnight.

Day 3
Hamed Ela-Dallol-Mekele-Fly Addis

You will rise early at 5 AM and embark on a drive to Dallol, renowned for its striking salt formations, vibrant sulfur deposits, colorful salt flats, hot springs, and salt canyons, also known as salt mountains. The journey will take over an hour, followed by a 30-minute trek to explore the area. You will spend approximately two hours walking through the unique landscape before returning to the vehicle for another 30-minute ride back. After breakfast, you will drive to Mekele to catch ET-117, departing at 5:45 PM and arriving in Addis at 7:20 PM.

Day 4
Addis – Lalibela The Eighth Wonder of the World
Addis – Lalibela The Eighth Wonder of the World
You will be transferred to the airport for your to Lalibela. Be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. ‘Eighth wonder of world Heritage’ Lalibela is famous for its underground rock-hewn cathedrals. In the afternoon you will visit top attractions of Lalibela that will simply stagger you. These churches include Bete Medhane Alem, Bete Mariam, Bete Meskal, Bete Denaghel, Bete Golgotha, Bete Mikael, and Bete Giorgis.

Day 5

This visit will be by walk early morning you will visit the remaining churches: bete marqorios, after breakfast enjoy the sun rise at your hotel then later round 10:30 we will be transferring you to airport for your to Addis Ababa then. Or we will transferring you where you will continue your trips.

Day 6
Addis-Jinka-Turmi

Upon arrival at Jinka, your guide will greet you for a scenic 130 km drive to Turmi, which takes approximately 2.5 hours and traverses through the vibrant towns of Jinka, Keyafer, Aldubba, and Dimeka. Depending on the day, you may witness a tribal market in one of these towns, particularly on market days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). The journey showcases diverse altitudes and stunning landscapes, with opportunities to engage with the Banna tribe and visit a small group of Mursi people near Keyafer, known for their distinctive lip plates and body scarification. If available, you might also experience cultural ceremonies such as bull jumping by the Banna or Hamar tribes. Your day concludes with an overnight stay at Paradise Lodge in Turmi.
Day 7
Drive Turmi-Karo-Jinka

Embark on a 65 km (1 hour) drive from Turmi to Karo Korcho village to engage with the Kara people, known for their elaborate body and face paintings, where you can even have your own face or body adorned in their traditional style. Afterward, return to Turmi for lunch, with the option to explore a tribal market on designated days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday) or witness a tribal ceremony such as the Hamar Bull Jumping or Evangadi Dancing Ceremony. The journey continues with a 130 km (2 hours) drive to Jinka, where you will stay overnight at the Nasa Hotel.

Jinka-Mursi Tribe-Fly Addis

This day we will drive either mago national park or will drive to keyafer town to meet the Mursi tribe, renowned for their unique lip plates, after spending sometime dribe back to to Jinka to take ET-270 flight to Addis.
