Our trip to Tanzania with Makisala Safaris was such an amazing experience from start to finish. James, our guide, was fantastic and made the safari even more special with his knowledge, patience, and great sense of humor. Everything was well organized, and we always felt taken care of throughout the trip. We would definitely recommend Makisala to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

Professional, Efficient, & Reliable

We booked for a one-day Gorilla Trek with Makisala and had a great experience! We were able to book last minute and do so with a quick turn around time. Brighton was quick to respond to all of our questions and organised our trip just as quickly, obtaining the permits, transport, and a guide. Our guide Moses was knowledgable and navigated the roads safely while also providing facts as we traversed through the roads to Volcanoes National Park. The vehicle was appropriate for the terrain and able to navigate the bumpy roads and slopes well, getting us to our trek starting point easily. Overall, would highly recommend; the value you get for the price of the tour is great and honestly hard to beat.

I travelled with my husband to Zanzibar for a romantic getaway planned by Makisala Safaris, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The team arranged everything seamlessly from airport transfers and a charming beachfront hotel to spice farm and Stone Town tours so all we had to do was relax and enjoy. We spent our days strolling along white-sand beaches, exploring historic streets, tasting fresh seafood, and watching sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Every detail was handled with care, making our holiday stress-free and unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return to Tanzania with Makisala Safaris!
