Beyond Expecations

I began booking my tour of Lalibella and Danakil, Ethiopia in December of 2025. Mr. Kenaw Ayalew’s communication was quick and thorough, answering any and all questions I may have had. Being a female that travels solo, having someone who makes asking questions feel welcome and not a burden is truly awesome. Mr. Ayalew also made me feel like I was talking to a friend as he constantly asked about my health and asked follow up questions for scenarios where I had to tend to the aspects of daily life non related to booking my tour. Also, Ethiopia has been experiencing a fuel shortage crisis which caused delays to the Danakil portion of my tour. Mr. Ayalew went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to enjoy Danakil. Seriously, if you’re traveling to Ethiopia, do not look any further than On The Go Ethiopia: you’re in good hands from start to finish! Thank you to Mr. Ayalew and my guides for making my tour of Ethiopia beyond my expectations!

Amazing tour operator

This tour was very nice. My guide Reta was very professional and very young and full of energy !! He showed me one week in Ethiopia and I visit Lalibela churches all 11 were incredible and it was spiritual with great hikes. I learned so much culture, enjoyed local cuisine and saw beautiful landscapes - and there is so much more to see ! I will be back for sure. Thank you !

I took a city tour with Reta to see different traditional highlights of Addis - a cafe, the Shola old market, a sceneary spot under the new Prime Minister’s manson hill, the Ethnological museum at the University of Addis, and a tasty late lunch at the amazing Addis Ababa old restaurant - loved it throughout; happy to pass my warm recommendation of Reta’s 👌🏻 service and spirit! 🌞❤️
