An extraordinary, truly bespoke luxury experience in Namibia.
Gazechase Travels created an unforgettable private journey that allowed me to experience both the grandeur of Namibia and the warmth of her people. Oliver and Lieb made booking effortless and were responsive and readily available throughout.
My itinerary included Windhoek, the Namib Desert, Big Daddy and Deadvlei, Swakopmund, Sandwich Harbour and the Skeleton Coast, a Bushman walk, Etosha, and incredible wildlife experiences. The lodges Gazechase selected were exceptional—beautifully appointed, outstanding service and food, and truly luxury in the wild. One was even situated at a watering hole, providing an extraordinary wildlife experience right from the property.
My private guide and driver, Theo, was the consummate professional. I felt completely safe in his care. He is a font of knowledge and went well beyond simply following an itinerary, using his local expertise to enhance my experience at every turn—including negotiating with vendors so I received local Namibian prices!
I came to Namibia believing this would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Gazechase gave me such an extraordinary experience that I left wondering when I could return.

Eleven night photographic tour of Namibia
My wife and I recently returned from a private 11 night tour with Gazechase Travels. We travelled in a Hiluz 4x4 and were accompanied by a photographer guide (who also drove). This tour took us to Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Damaraland via Skeleton Coast, Etosha National Park (4 nights a various lodges), Okonjima Nature Reserve, and Waterberg Plateau. It was a grueling (lots of early mornings for sunrise) yet stunningly beautiful tour filled with amazing photographic opportunities. Our goal was to photograph exotic animals in beautiful landscape settings with clear atmosphere and beautiful light, and this tour surely delivered. We were fortunate that there had earlier been rains and the desert grasses shone beautifully in our early morning and evening pics. Oliver at Gazechaze organized our tour most efficiently and pleasantly. And our guide, Kai Luehl was fantastic. He was a knowledgeable and experience photographer that knew all the best places to go. And, he was super nice guy, really interesting and entertaining to talk with about photography, the country and the people and how they live. We had tremendous fun! I very highly recommend.

Exzellent planning and execution of our self drive throught Namibia
We booked a 12 days self drive in namibia, all lodges were super nice, the car was almost new and we even got VIP Immigration Service. Everthing was well Dokumenten and Oliver was very responding throught WhatsApp.
Efficient, accommodating, and highly communicative
We spent 11 days touring Namibia with our driver/guide Theo and the experience was incredible! Oliver and Theo ensured a smooth transition from landing at Hosea Kutako Airport to dropping us back off at the end of the trip. Everything was planned with care prior to our arrival, with Oliver prescheduling reservations, excursions, and any experiences we were interested in. We worked closely to get the perfect itinerary balancing our budget, our must-sees, and a few little pockets of luxury that we didn’t expect. Communication while planning was impeccable, and Oliver was able to accommodate some scheduling changes due to airline issues as well as our own last minute conflict. Throughout the trip he checked on us and was able to answer questions or handle inquiries almost immediately.
The trip itself was once in a lifetime - Namibia is a beautiful country with so many natural wonders. Every day and change in location was so different from the one before! Highlights included hiking Big Daddy and Dune 45 (shout out to Theo for staying with me while I took many breaks), kayaking with seals with the Mola Mola team in Walvis Bay (followed by a beach brai and riding 4x4s through the dunes of Sandwich Harbor), going on an elephant drive in Damaraland, and of course driving through Etosha nature reserve.
And finally, our driver and guide Theo was 10/10! He really went out of his way to ensure our comfort and safety throughout the trip, as well as make sure we got to see everything (and more!) that we wanted. He suggested adding a stop on our way to Damaraland that included a hike to see the White Lady that was one of the highlights of our trip. He also was a fantastic driver throughout Etosha, spotting animals and stopping whenever we saw something we wanted to investigate. Theo was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to spend time with throughout the 11 days! Our trip could not have gone as well as it did without him.
